I started writing about balancing my fatherhood with my rock dreams, trying to figure out how it worked out. The story wandered backwards through my own childhood, and went to all sorts of places I hadn't thought it would. I couldn't have done it without a lot of people helping me along, which kinda turned out to be the point of the book itself.
