i’ve been dreaming of this one for a while, and waiting (im)patiently to see if it would come together. just got word yesterday it’s confirmed! it feels good to still feel this nervous. tickets go on sale friday at 10am pst.

the story: old & new friends in southern california are helping me put together a set of tin cans in full, plus some from thriller & some from a whole new one. the songs feel great together.

the fact that so many people from that era are gone now is a potent reminder. in the lives of loved ones, in the world, there’s heavy stuff everywhere these days. music remains my favorite way of feeling it and letting it go.

i’m looking forward to the physicality of singing, screaming, and being literally shaken up by this music, old and new. decibels. distortion. bass. DRUMS.

also, the tin cans (and thriller) songs hit WAY different 25-35 years on. it’s been surprising revisiting them with this in mind.

anyway, i think i just wanted to do at least one show celebrating tin cans LOUD in its 30th year. as for more full-band shows like this, i know i’m up for it, so if the right people and situations keep showing up, you’ll be the first to know. thanks forever for caring about any of it.
