i went looking for clues to all the memories i have of chicago. most of them precede the internet as we know it. far finished tin cans there in '95, i got my first tattoo, far basically ended there a few years later, new end basically started there that very same night when i saw norman after the show, i met jess & joan & david & a loonnnnggg list of rad creatures there. endless scruffy shows and adventures along the way. i ended up finding this one from the iconic shambolic fireside, 21-ish years ago, so here you go.
the whole search happened because i'm real excited to be in chicago again, for the first time in a while. i'll be working on some visuals for a song that's part of a project around a woman battling cancer. i've never met her. we're just connected through music and friends. never doesn't blow my mind to consider such things. i'll also be doing a one-off show with the one-of-one bob nanna, a fellow lifer, and i'm real happy about that. sun aug 14, sounds like a lovely setting & everything. click here to get info & rsvp. i'm told tix are limited and going quickly. i'd love to see you and/or yr loved ones there.
either way, thx forever, chicago.
