Whether or not Jesus really rose

I’m here to hang out with 
Sages, scholars, scientists, students 
Who share sources 
The smartest seem to agree 
Certainty is the enemy 
Pretending to know unknowable things 
To sell a story of hierarchy 
About why I’ve gotta be he or she 
Or whatever power-hungry binary 
Is cheap and ugly 
I’m sticking with 
The twin irrefutable truths 
Immortality and impermanence 
I rose from rocks 
The most ancient, patient animals I know 
I will return to them happily 
The person I was 
When I started writing this 
Has already rejoined eternity 
I’m excited to meet the creature I’ll be 
In the next breath and the next 
For however many are given to me 
Born over and over again 
My healing heart ever wider open 
Jesus, Zeus, HaShem, Allah, Zen 
A cool crew of eternal friends 
Offering their hands
