As I mourn the loss of Elizabeth Warren's open mind, big heart & thoughtful leadership, I hope she gets as much power as possible in the administration of whichever man gets the nom. We need her now more than ever. I also know that Bernie Sanders is now the last best chance for any substantive change to be possible anytime soon (more on that below). If Joe Biden ends up with the nomination, I will still work hard to dethrone Dump, win all the down-ballot races we can, and try to pull this country back from the brink. Can we agree on that as a widely shared goal no matter what? I will hope that Biden listens to the rising chorus of progressive-by-necessity voices in our country, and I will work to make him listen. None of us are truly doing well in the world we've made, even the power-hoarders. Our home is in serious trouble. There are millions (billions) of us desperate for clean water, breathable air, health care, a living wage, and relief from oppression of all sorts -- which is fueled & funded by corruption. As for right now, one thing feels clear: Until way too much of the Sanders culture stops blaming Warren, Biden, 'the establishment' (a needlessly hyperbolic and therefore divisive term that I hope will be minimized rhetorically moving forward) and everyone else for their/our troubles, the 'revolution' (a needlessly hyperbolic and therefore divisive term that I hope will be minimized rhetorically moving forward) will continue to stall. Learning from mistakes only happens when you can admit you've made them. We need serious, collaborative, sustainable change. Please, let's start thinking & acting accordingly.
